I have never fixed a vacuum cleaner, but I am not without fix-it skills, so I'd like to have a try before either having it professionally fixed or replaced. However, I couldn't even see how to open the unit to get at the motor.

So, if anyone in this group would care to (a) instruct me as to how to go about trying to fix this cleaner, or (b) refer me to a site where I can find some kind of step-by-step guide for fixing this unit, I would be be much obliged! Thanks in advance for any advice!
